The digitized collection of atlases includes 167 volumes with over 6,000 maps and other illustrations. They include statewide, county and municipal atlases from throughout the commonwealth, with the majority published in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The State Library of Massachusetts is excited to announce the completion of its digital photograph collection predominantly consisting of 26th Yankee Division soldiers who served in World War I.  This collection, which was donated to the library by the Boston Globe in 1935, represents over 8,500 soldiers from Massachusetts and other areas in the northeast; the collection contains over 11,000 images total.  Accompanying many of these photographs are “cut slips” produced by Boston Globe staff, which include biographical and military information, as well as newspaper clippings.
